Adam Reta

Adam  Reta with nom de plume Adam Reta is a writer of fiction. He has a postgraduate diploma in GIS, natural resource analysis from the Institute of Earth Sciences, the Netherlands, and a BA degree in Geography from Addis Ababa University. He has written six short story collections and three novels. His ninth book, a novel, is said to be the longest novel in the history of Ethiopian creative fiction. Two of his short stories have been made into films with some critical acclaim. Currently living in Ottawa, Canada, most of his works were published in Ethiopia while he was residing abroad. Adam has been busy in the Ethiopian literary scene for more than a quarter of a century. He is currently working on a new novel based on his brand of writing style called Hisinawinet. He is a recipient of multiple literary awards.
